Steve Kruse

Steve Kruse began his professional career when he founded his own company, Kruse Brothers, in 1967. Located in West Point, Iowa, Kruse Brothers enjoyed a reputation as one of the biggest hog farms in the southeastern part of the state. Nearly 20 years later, he established Kruse Construction, also in West Point, where he focused his efforts on brick laying and brick work until 1991. During this time, Kruse also became the owner of StoneHenge Kennels, where he continues to oversee operations to this day.

Over the years, Steve Kruse has put close to 1 million dollars into his kennel, which has bred more than 20 dogs that went on to receive champion status. Maintaining high standards when it comes to dog breeding, StoneHenge Kennels breeds dogs with good temperaments who make great pets. As a professional, Steve Kruse holds membership in several well-known organizations. Kruse currently acts as the Director for Iowa Pet Breeders Association, and he affiliates with the Pet Professionals of Southeast Iowa. Kruse also maintains membership in the Republican Party of Iowa's State Central Committee.

A dedicated philanthropist, Steve Kruse supports the American Legion (Post 668), as well as the Knights of Columbus. Kruse has also volunteered his time at the West Point Sweet Corn Festival. During his free time, Kruse enjoys mentoring local children and reading. He counts among his favorite books End the Fed, written by Ron Paul, and Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, written by Mark R. Levin. One of Steve Kruse’s other favorite authors is Thomas Jefferson.
