Steve Lugg

Ferndown

Steve started in politics as a small child with his grandad whom was Mayor of Sherborne and the urban district council in the late 60s and early 70s. Politically active in Three Legged Cross having left the army, Steve first stood as a winning independent candidate in a contested Ferndown Town Council by-election in October 2008. Steve was elected again in a contested election for the town council in 2011, and as a Conservative councillor for East Dorset District Council at the same time, for Ferndown Central Ward.

Steve is Vice Chairman of EDDC for 2014/15 and sits on the community and licensing committtees.

Steve has been Deputy Mayor of Ferndown twice and is currently Vice Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes committee, as well as being a member and past Chairman of the Environment committee.

Steve is a district council representative trustee on the Ferndown Community Association, and the town council representative, and current Chairman of the Ferndown Central PACT.
