My name is Steve and I'm the founder of Stem Legal Web Enterprises; also: a father to three geat kids, soccer coach, web developer, law librarian, and can doctor a golf score card better than a North Korean despot.

For almost 20 years I've worked creating and conceiving web tools for lawyers: firm websites, blogs, intranets, extranets and portals. In 2007 I started Stem Legal, a company that would deliver outsourced law firm search marketing (not that "SEO" is a bad word in my books). Today, that company has grown to offer a full spectrum of web strategies and services: from web design, to core message development, to helping firms with the amplification of that message.

I also try to give back to the communities to which I serve: I've been an editorial board member for the ABA’s Law Practice magazine, co-founded the award-winning group blog Slaw, and orchestrate the Canadian Law Blog Awards ("the CLawBies") each year in December. I'm an infrequent speaker, but quoted often throughout North America on topics and trends related to the legal web. And last year, 2011, I was inducted as a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management.
