Steve Munsey
always felt his calling to spread the name of Jesus, it was only a matter of time until he figured out just how.
Growing up the son of Pastors Frank and Ruth Munsey, Young Steve felt deeply grounded in his faith. While he always felt connected, he noticed other children and adults losing their focus and losing the wisdom conveyed in those sermons. As a teenager, he leapt into action, helping his Sunday School teacher capture the attention of his fellow youth by enthusiastically re-enacting the stories in the Bible.
As soon as he graduated from Valparaiso, he found a piece of land in Tacoma, Washington and staged his first production of JON. He realized that in a time where the attention of the people was dominated by television, he could reach lost souls and teach the life lessons of the Bible by producing dramas that would draw in the congregation and make them feel the power of those stories. By showing them the struggles that Jesus went through, he could impress upon them the importance of the Gospel. From then on, Steve honed his storytelling, eventually developing a StoryTime, his own way of retelling stories from the Bible.
Now Steve Munsey co-pastors the Family Christian Center with his wife, Melodye. He's been blessed with two children, Kent and Candace, and has six wonderful grandchildren.
