I'm Steven Myers. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to become an artist of some kind. This goal led me through a series of twists and turns over the past few years and eventually to where I am today: as an advertising student at Appalachian State University. Advertising is a field that I felt would allow me to further develop my creative ideas and skills while also being able to focus more on the aspect of communication with others. Outside of my life as a student, I have a great fondness for movies, animation, reading, and hiking. My interest in hiking and camping specifically comes from my time as a Boy Scout. I am an Eagle Scout and have been in the scouting program since first grade. I am a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow as well.

I also have a mad love for video games. At five years old I received a Game Boy Color and a copy of Pokemon Gold; and it was through these two items that I discovered a medium capable of taking players to wondrous new worlds and engaging the imagination. I put this love to use by writing about the medium on my website, Name of the Game (which you can check out by clicking the button above). It's a blog where I analyze video games and break down their various components.
