MDAC is the leading international charity using the law to fight for the human rights of people with mental health issues and learning disabilities worldwide.

I coordinate an exceptionally talented team which tackles some of the most widespread and systematic human rights violations faced by our beneficiaries.

We undertake strategic litigation, advocacy and public campaigns work in over 20 countries in Europe and Africa. To advance human rights, we also conduct advocacy at the highest level - in the courtrooms of the European Court of Human Rights and at the United Nations.

We want an end to:

- The denial of education to children with disabilities

- Warehousing of people with disabilities in institutions, often for life

- Regimes which strip people of their legal identities, leaving them open to exploitation and abuse

Instead, we campaign for a inclusion, equality and justice, where all people are valued for their inherent dignity, autonomy and humanity.
