Steven Aquino
Union City, CA
Since January 2013, I have worked as a freelance technology writer who specializes in Accessibility on iOS. I have contributed to numerous Internet-based publications, including The Magazine, The Loop Magazine, Macworld, TidBITS, and Tech.pinions. In addition, I am co-host of "Accessible", a weekly podcast that discusses accessibility issues on iOS and other computing platforms.
Aside from the aforementioned publications, my work has been featured on Apple's Hot News page of their website, Daring Fireball, the Tom Bihn blog, and the Day One Uses Guide page. You can also find me on Svbtle and on Medium. Furthermore, since 2010 I have written and produced my own independent site, Steven's Blog, where I write on technology and other areas of interest. I also have a Tumblr blog, aptly named Steven's Other Blog, that I update semi-regularly with miscelleaneous content.
Prior to becoming a full-time freelancer, I worked 11 years with my local school district as a classroom aide to students with special needs, both at the junior high and Pre-K levels. I have extensive knowledge of special education, as well as intensive training in teaching and behaviorial techniques designed for children with autism.
