I'm a versatile and quick-witted thinker, with particular ability in feature writing, feature editing and person-to-person communication. A well-versed interviewer and communicator, I find the most joy in forming long-lasting relationships with both professionals within my field and within others. I have a tenacious work ethic, and hate to be bored in any situation. I am apt in gauging my skills and abilities, and If comfortable will take leadership positions with enthusiasm.

Outside of the professional realm, I am a huge fan of spoken word poetry, along with just about any creative form of expression you can name. Before declaring journalism as my career path, I had plans to be a creative writer and novelist, and while this ambition never died, I like to imagine I have directed it into my news writing. Consequently, I consider myself adept in forming narratives while providing potent imagery and descriptive language.

I have experience speaking Spanish to an intermediate level, and have an elementary understanding of Arabic. Travel is a high priority for me and I am extremely open to opportunities that may place me in regions of different language and custom.
