A respected presence in the Tampa, Florida, educational community, Steven A. Field, MD, teaches science at the School District of Hillsborough County. Among the courses he is certified to instruct are biology and AP biology taught earth and space science, and health sciences. For the past three years, Steven A. Field, MD, has engaged with the Hillsborough County Science Fair in Florida as chief judge of biological sciences.

Dr. Field completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and was active with the Spirit Club and Biology Club as an undergraduate. A Joseph P. Kennedy Foundation scholarship award recipient, he held a position in a supermarket that allowed him to earn money for tuition and living expenses.

Dr. Field subsequently completed advanced studies at Georgetown University and at Hahnemann Medical College (Drexel University). His post graduate work spans the University of Florida and Stanford University, with areas of research focus including heat-related conditions and ergonomics. Community involved, he has been active as chair of the East Bay High School’s steering committee.
