Steven Antler is prolific inventor, as well as owner and chief executive officer of Dedeco International, Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of rotary dental tool accessories. He earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1972 from St. John's University School of Law. Steven Antler left the legal sector in 1983, when he purchased Dedeco International from 3M to become that company's sole owner, president, and CEO.
Dedeco grew dramatically under Steven Antler's leadership, expanding both its catalog and its markets. Mr. Antler has patented a number of technologies that have been added to his company's catalog, including the Goldies and Koolies lines. Recognizing his tools' broader appeal in industry, he also established corporate partnerships with widely known companies such as Dremel and Black and Decker, in addition to dental and jeweler distributors.
In 2002, Mr. Antler launched a second company, StaiNo, LLC, the result of a joint development project between Dedeco and materials giant DuPont. This spin-off venture manufactures and distributes another of Mr. Antler's innovations: a unique dental whitening technology that blends dental abrasives into filaments suitable for home dental care.
Beyond his business in the world of rotary tools, Mr. Antler is also active in the world of golf. As a founding member of the Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton, New York, he helped establish a golf course that has since hosted many high-profile events in the sport.
