Steven Bier, MD
Dr. Steven Bier has worked as a radiologist in New York and New Jersey for over 20 years. Dr. Bier laid the foundations for his medical career at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, an experimental six-year program that allowed him to start studying medicine directly out of high school. Dr. Steven Bier later earned his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine before completing postdoctoral training at Lutheran Medical Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. He then operated a radiology practice in the Bronx for over a decade.
In the last 10 years, Dr. Steven Bier has served in a variety of clinical contexts. In 2001, he accepted the position of Director of Radiology at the Kings Highway Division of Beth Israel Medical Center. In 2003, he became a Body Imaging Radiologist for Corinthian Diagnostic Radiology. For the next several years, Dr. Bier worked as an Attending Radiologist at Union Hospital, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, and Christ Hospital. At present, Dr. Steven Bier works at Jersey City Medical Center.
Outside of his work as a radiologist, Dr. Steven Bier assists multiple organizations that lend support to people who have disabilities. He serves on the Board of Directors for MyGOAL Autism, which helps people overcome the challenges of autism. In addition, he acts as Director of the Marvin and Shirley Bier Memorial Fund. For several years, Dr. Steven Bier also volunteered as a basketball and little league coach for individuals with special needs.
