Steve Crowley
I’m a Washington, DC–based wireless engineer with more than three decades of experience across mobile, broadcasting, satellite, cable, and unlicensed systems. Today, I stay engaged in industry and policy discussions, particularly where technology, standards, and spectrum intersect.
My work has focused on helping organizations understand complex engineering issues and communicate them clearly—whether across teams, cultures, or with regulators. I’ve participated in standards and policy activities including IEEE 802, TIA, and 3GPP2, and serve on the board of the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers.
I’ve been cited in outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, and have contributed to industry publications and a book on broadcast due diligence. I’m a co-inventor on several U.S. patents and a licensed Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia.
