I’m a Game Developer. I’m a little more than a developer, at least I’d say so. I do game design(who doesn’t?), game scripting, and level design. I’ve picked the title “Developer” because that’s the role I find myself falling into the most often.

My skill sets are quite varied, and I try to add to them as often as possible. I do a lot of programming/scripting. That’s kind of my main thing which I find fun on most days, and I can usually keep up with my team’s programmers without too much difficulty. I also know a good amount about 3D asset creation. I picked that one up by accident, but I ran with it. My art is… basic, but I can talk to a 3D artist about pipeline and stuff and that’s always great. Sound is a big mysterious creature to me, but I pick up what I can when I can. Other than that I have “a little here, a little there” of stuff like web development, vector art, cool tricks in Word and PowerPoint, and so on.

I’m originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin, and I currently live in Chicago, Illinois so I can go to Columbia College Chicago. I’m currently a senior studying Game Design and working on my senior project. I’ve worked on a small collection of other games for Game Jams (gonna try and get them playable on the site as soon as I am able). I also help run our game production club, Alpha Labs. Aside from school, I have also worked at Tap.Me as a Level Designer and a QA Lead on their game, Friends in Space (formally known as Galaxy Golf).

After I graduate (around next December if all goes well), I will begin searching for work at any game company that will have me. I’ve always loved making games and love working with other people that share that passion. I don’t think I could work in any other field.
