Steven DeCillis

Steven DeCillis lives and works in Oxford, North Carolina. He was born and raised in New Jersey, growing up with his family in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. He stayed in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University for his undergraduate career. Upon graduating from Rutgers, Steven DeCillis moved out of New Jersey for the first time in his life in order to attend UNC Chapel Hill for graduate school. He graduated from UNC in 1994, shortly after beginning work for the State of North Carolina, which he did for seven years. He then left this position in order to open up his own business, which he saw success in until 2013.
Steven DeCillis is married to Whitney DeCillis, who he met upon moving to North Carolina. Steven has lived in Oxford, North Carolina since 1996. The couple are members of Newhope Church, in Durham, North Carolina. They attend services regularly and have had the incredible good fortune to be able to go on multiple mission trips through the church. Steven has been to Israel twice and once to the Ukraine. These trips proved to be life-changing experiences for Steven DeCillis and his wife, as they did and saw things that they had never dreamed of before. It was eye-opening to see some of the conditions that others endured and was extremely rewarding to be able to help those in need. Steven hopes to be able to go on mission trips again in the future.
Steven DeCillis is very close with his extended and immediate family, having grown up in a house with his maternal grandparents along with his immediate parents and his brother. In his free time, Steven DeCillis greatly enjoys spending time with his son, playing games and teaching him new things. Steven DeCillis is also a huge sports fan, his favorite NFL team being the Miami Dolphins and his favorite MLB team being the New York Yankees. As he lives in North Carolina and attended graduate school at UNC, Steven DeCillis and his family are huge fans of the UNC tar heels and are in full support of all of their sports teams.
