For Steven Dombrowski, being a cyclist is about more than just keeping active. It's about making a difference in unexpected ways.

Initially fueled by a desire for adventure, Dombrowski originally took up cycling as a unique way to see the world. Joined by a longtime friend and colleague, the cyclist traveled from Portland, Oregon to San Diego, California -- relying exclusively on his bicycle as his method of transportation. A stretch of over 1,500 miles, this adventurous ride lasted 40 days. The feat was quite the accomplishment for Dombrowski. But even then, he knew that his passion for cycling could have a more productive power.

After suffering the devastating loss of a family member to cancer, Steven Dombrowski found his cycling's purpose: cancer awareness. In his view, the fight to find a cure and defeat all forms of cancer is a universal responsibility. There is no limit to what can be accomplished if everyone does their part. That's why he's fueling his pedals with a focus by participating in charitable cycling races and events.

Soon, Dombrowski will share his adventures in cancer awareness advocacy in the form of a travel journal turned blog!
