Steven Engravalle

Steven Engravalle is a Chief Education Officer in New Jersey who has taken a lead role in education and community issues and organizations at the local, county, and state level. Throughout his career, Mr. Engravalle has developed strategies for increased student achievement, focused professional development for educators, and enhanced school accountability measures that include employing policies and practices to facilitate data-driven decision-making for schools. Among his work, he has led a full curriculum review and alignment with Common Core Standards; provided online, individualized professional development for teachers and administrators; facilitated the implementation of Teachscape’s Classroom Walk-through (CWT) and Data Collection Tool (DCT) online teacher evaluation system; coordinated the district-wide deployment of Pearson’s PowerSchool SIS; negotiated shared services agreements; and reduced school budgets while increasing services. Most importantly, all of his efforts have resulted in increased educational opportunities and achievement for all student demographics.
