I enjoy "Listening to Learn" from people throughout the world. "Listening to Learn" is giving pause to your thoughts in order to clearly strive to comprehend the information being received. Giving pause to your thoughts means not trying to formulate a response before the other person has finished communicating their information.

Many people were trained to be the first one to raise their hand and answer a question which signified they were "better" as a result of being first to respond. Consider the impact of improved comprehension if we allow ourselves to absorb information prior to responding.
