I was born in Barkur - a historic provincial capital of the celebrated Vijaynagar empire in southern India, having greatly influenced by the rich local culture and tradition that eventually led into a deep interest in Hinduism, especially in Jyotish or Vedic astrology at the age of 13.

A career in fashion product development and international representation had taken me into extensive travel to Europe and the USA. I am socialist at heart, have represented certain weak sections, oppressed communities, minorities of the society, unheard voices across various segments like education, industry into the right democratic forums. I have spearheaded campaigns against the cruelty and prevention of animals.

I am an amateur golfer and have contributed to some of the golf training academies in western India. I have authored a Golf Primer with some of the intricate issues covering global handicapping system. My early interest and continued pursuing of astrological studies under well known south Indian astrologers have placed me as a member of the panel of astrology at Astrospeak.com – subsidiary of the Times Group, India.
