Steven Peskind
Steven Peskind brings more than 15 years of experience to his work as an attorney and Principal at the Peskind Law Firm. His professional achievements include the Michael S. Cohen Award for Continuing Commitment and Contribution to Professional Education of Matrimonial Lawyers. Steven Peskind was recognized as a Super Lawyer for five consecutive years and was one of Crain's Business Magazine's Top Family Lawyers in Illinois in 2005.
With an emphasis on matrimonial and family law, Peskind Law Firm represents clients on a variety of family matters such as property valuation and distribution and child custody. Steven Peskind began his professional career as an associate at the Law Offices of David P. Peskind. He was promoted to partner at the firm and went on to become a principal at the Law Offices of Steven N. Peskind, Esq., now known as the Peskind Law Firm.
Steven Peskind earned his undergraduate degree at Tulane University before going on to attend the DePaul University College of Law where he completed his Juris Doctor. In addition to his formal training, Mr. Peskind completed an eight-day intensive trial skills course at the Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute. His other training includes 40 hours at the Mediation Institute and a symposium on Genetic Bonds and Family Law presented by the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics at the University of Louisville Institute for Bioethics, Health Policy and Law.
Steven Peskind is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He also serves as a Member of the Illinois Chapter Board of Managers for the organization. His previous roles include membership on the editorial board and the law practice management committee.
