Steven Potter

I was born in Myrtle Beach, SC - grew up in Syracuse, NY - and then moved down to Columbia, SC. Being able to see the tropical and severe weather of the South and the lake effect snow of the North led me to grow up with a huge interest in atmospheric science. I just graduated with my BS in Meteorology from UNC Charlotte this past December. During my undergraduate studies I volunteer/interned at the Columbia, SC weather service office to gain familiarity and experience in hopes of pursuing my dream job as an operational forecaster. This will be my first class at MS State in the Applied Meteorology Program. I'm very much looking forward to working with you all and having a great semester!
