Undergraduate student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, majoring in Chinese Language and Literature. An avid outdoor enthusiast who, while attending high school, completed two Outward Bound backpacking trips - one week in Colorado and another week in North Carolina. From June 5th - November 24th 2012, thru-hiked the 2,179 mile Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia. In March 2013, traveled to Talkeetna, Alaska to obtain a certification as a Wilderness First Responder. Most recently, a recipient of the Gilman Scholarship to be applied towards the study of Mandarin in Chengdu, China during the 2015 spring semester.

Majority of free time is spent participating in an array of outdoor activities, such as backpacking, cycling, climbing, kayaking etc.. Also enjoys singing, playing guitar, and writing.
