Steven Upham

Phoenix, Arizona, United States

Born and raised in sunny and very hot Arizona, grew up to two parents that preached those who work for it will be rewarded. Growing up, had a diverse experience in sports, specifically with lacrosse, that helped feed into my love of sports that still exists today.

I attended Northern Arizona University for my undergrad where I received my bachelor's degree in athletic training, while completing my senior capstone project on sickle cell in athletics. From there I continued in my education at California State University, Fresno where I will be receiving my master's degree in Kinesiology emphasis on sport psychology.

In my career, I have had the great advantage of working with a variety of teams at a variety of levels, with emphasis mainly on football. My career has taken me from the FCS/Division I-AA level at Northern Arizona (where I also completed a clinical site at a high school for a semester), to a top Division I/FBS at Arizona State, and to a mid-major Division I/FBS at Fresno State. Currently, my background continues to get more diverse to include the NAIA level at Arizona Christian University. Sports that I have had the opportunity to be a athletic training student and/or certified athletic trainer for include football, high school basketball and baseball, cross country, wrestling, men's and women's soccer, and mens/women's golf.
