Steven W. Bernstein

Prior to founding the nationwide homeowner assistive business Foreclosure Defense LLC in 2009, accomplished businessman Steven W. Bernstein established a reputation for himself within real estate and associated law fields. Holds a B.A., M.B.A. and law degree, Bernstein is also a Bloomberg Certified forensic auditor with more than 10,000 hours and 450 forensic audits to date. For nearly 30 years, he has held his real estate license, owning a mortgage company for 19 years in addition to working for working for one of the nation’s largest lenders. His understanding of homeowner difficulties is vast -- Bernstein’s experience spreads decade in negotiating and modifying loans with self-serving small and large banks, experience that led to his personal desire during the recession to begin a company dedicated to helping homeowners through this challenging process.

It is this immense knowledge, gained across nearly 30 years of work, that also led Bernstein to become a qualified expert witness when and as needed. Steven Bernstein has grown to become one of the country’s foremost experts on the extended right to cancel through recession, bankruptcy techniques in filing Proof of Claims in Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, and overall stopping foreclosure. Additionally, his experience has led to various speaking engagements and lecturing work across the U.S. for fellow Certified Forensic Loan Auditors.
