Steve’s passion is that all people will encounter the amazing love, truth, and grace of Jesus Christ. Steve desires to see that people will live out their true identity in Christ through a living relationship with Him. His heart for the lost has framed his vision to connect and unite the international church community to one sole purpose of expanding God's Kingdom into the most unreached parts of the world. Steve believes that the church must be missional and defines it by saying “the church must multiply by equipping people to intersect church and culture through authentic Christ centered communities”. Steve’s trajectory for Asia missions started in 1995 when he received an audible call by God, a still small voice that repeated three times the words “follow me”. Those two words radically changed Steve’s life forever. After serving the US Army for 6 years, Steve served as Youth Pastor in Miami, FL for the next 6 years, where he would pour into the Korean American community of the South East region of America.
Steve Cho is married to Jung Yun “Joy”. He will be the first one to say that “she is way out of my league”. They are blessed with two sons, Isaiah (6) and Isaac (5). Steve proudly acknowledges that on any given day you will see his two boys fighting evil dark forces with their mighty super powers and ninja skills. Yes, they always win.
Steve and Joy are obeying the Lord’s call to leave their boats and follow their Savior Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth for the rest of their lives together. They simply love His children and compelled to bring the gospel into the unknown and even into the most dangerous parts of the world. Their shared call for lost souls has led them to go on a journey to plant their first church in Seoul, South Korea. God continues to shape their hearts for future generations. By God’s grace, Steve and Joy are willing to go wherever the Lord leads them and committed to pour every last drop in sharing the gospel for His glory.
