Steve Clark has been teaching since 2003. He began his career in New Zealand. In 2005, he immigrated to Calgary with his wife to settle down and begin a family.

Steve started with the Calgary Board of Education in 2006 after upgrading his education at the University of Calgary, focusing on Educational Technology.

Steve is currently a Learning Specialist with the Calgary Board of Education. He is a member of a team that supports the 250 schools from K-12.

Steve enjoys the challenge of engaging students in tasks that involve design thinking. He specializes in the use of technology as a meaningful learning tool and focuses on ways that teachers and students can use a variety of technology tools to express an understanding of what they are learning about.

Previously, Steve has worked in 3 different CBE schools and was responsible to lead the transition to change the school library from a place to store books, to an innovative learning space.

In 2013, Steve became an Apple Distinguished Educator and is a part of a community of more than 2000 educators worldwide that are recognized by the innovative ways they use technology in learning.
