Writer and Medical Secretary in England, United Kingdom
Stevie started to write when she was about 11. However, she only started publishing novels in her fifties after living through many experiences, and finally finding the time to write about them when her children flew the nest. Stevie works part time as a medical secretary, and in her spare time enjoys the opportunity to create novels focusing on peculiar subjects which are not often written about.
Stevie won a gold award from Readers' Favorite for 'A House Without Windows', which was considered for filming in 2017 by a New York media production company. Her seventh novel 'The Daughter-in-law Syndrome' came in at #49 in ReadFree.ly's 50 Best Indie Books of 2015. Her novel 'Repent at Leisure' was shortlisted for the Escalator Writing Contest, and made #46 in ReadFree.ly's list of the 50 Best Indie Books of 2016. Her screenplay 'No Sex Please, I'm Menopausal!' was an Official Selection in the 2017 TinselTown Productions' screenplay contest. Another screenplay 'For the Sake of a Child' won a silver award in the Spring 2017 Depth of Field International Film Festival.
