I am an Emeritus Professor at The University of the West Indies Open Campus - and Founding and Managing Editor of the International Journal of Education and Development using Information and Communication Technology (IJEDICT). Prior to retiring in 2011, I was the UNESCO Chair in Educational Technologies and have held senior management positions in higher education in England, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Southern Africa and the Caribbean. My research and consultancy interests are in the role of communication and information technologies in online and distance education, especially in developing countries.
