Stewart Flink

A 1978 graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Stewart Flink earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double Major in Economics and Psychology before completing his MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 1983. After obtaining his degrees, Mr. Flink worked for a number of large and prestigious institutions in the investment industry until 2000, when he became an entrepreneur in the same field. Stewart Flink established Crestview Capital that same year and increased the company's assets under management to over $250 million before founding Next View Capital LP in January 2009. Mr. Flink launched Next View Capital with his own capital and others at a difficult moment in the financial markets because it was his belief that it was the right time to be investing.

Most brokers who manage clients are not aligned with their clients' interests. Stewart Flink’s Next View Capital, however, is completely aligned, because he has his own money vested alongside the investors', and most of his earnings are as a result of profits paid in the form of incentive fees. In other words, if the investors do not make money, the same is true for him. An independent third-party administrator determines monthly performance by placing values on client holdings and calculating the gains on which incentive payments are based, effectively eliminating any conflicts of interest. In addition, a separate audit firm calculates the annual performance of Next View.

Dedicated to operating a profitable hedge fund in his professional life, Stewart Flink devotes his time away from his responsibilities at Next View Capital to serving the community. An enthusiastic supporter of the Chicagoland Jewish High School in Deerfield, Illinois, he served its Board of Directors as President and Treasurer from 2002 until 2006. Stewart Flink currently sits on the Board of Directors of the American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and he is scheduled to teach a course in the university’s honors MBA program in summer 2012. He also serves on the investment committee for the endowment fund. Stewart Flink may be reached at (847) 418-8302 or via e-mail at [email protected].
