I don't believe there are many people who can say they have been so badly screwed over by the fully, partial justice system we have here in Illinois. Becoming famous as the Pay-to-Play state (thanks to that special con- Rod B.), this could be the only place in the US where a judge would rule that a a car can be repossessed without the loan being in default. Only in Illinois could yet another judge twist your arm to coerce you to into accepting a lowball offer from the defendant. And when you choose to take your chances with the jury, would you expect to be threatened by the judge or endure the helplessness of having a front row seat to watch him undermine your case to make certain you walk out of his courtroom without a cent?
And don't let me get started on the lawyers!!! You put your hard earned money on the line to get your losses restored and your record cleared but they are interested only in billing fees not winning cases. It's theft, plain and simple. But then again, who would know how to skillfully separate you from your money than a lawyer?
They operate under the expectation that the average Joe/Joan is clueless to what is appropriate process or procedure and even less capable to do anything about it if they were not as dumb as they were pegged to be.
It's been seven years. I've been dragged through the muck and the mire, but I'm still here. Still standing.
Here's my story as told in correspondence and emails... (MORE TO COME)
