Bill Stone

I was born and raised in central Iowa with brief stops in Windsor Heights, Newton and Osceola before landing in Des Moines at age 9. I graduated from Des Moines East High School and started a career in the service station business at age 21.

I am married and have 3 wonderful kids that grew up in Ankeny. I began buying cars from Karl Chevrolet in the 1980s and always liked how I was treated. So, when I thought about what I wanted to do for my next career, I thought of Karls. I knew it would be great to work at a place where the customer comes first. That had always been my philosophy in business and I knew it was Karls as well.
