STORY OF A STRANGER

Formed in 2021, Story of a Stranger came together over a love for heavy music and the urge to push their sound beyond the expected. Each of the four members brings their own background and influences into the mix, shaping a sound that’s both precise and modern.

The band mixes heavy and melodic elements, but it’s never just about the sound, it’s about saying something that matters. It’s about being aware of the world around you and realizing you’re part of it.

Story of a Strangerplayed their first show on January 25, 2025, co-headlining with Hidden Fates at the iconic Explosiv Graz. Shortly after, they won two contests, earning slots at Donauinselfest and AREA 53 Festival. At Donauinselfest, Europe’s largest open-air festival, they set the tone for the day with a high-energy opening set, while at AREA 53 they delivered an intense performance that had the crowd moshing and dancing, earning praise from local media and fans alike.

In November 2025, the band closed the year by winning the Local Heroes Styria Final, securing 1st place and earning a slot in the Planet Festival Tour playoffs – Austria’s largest live music contest. This victory marked their final show of 2025 and solidified their rising position in the Austrian metal scene.
