Student and Volunteer in Bellevue, Washington

Hire me

My name is Anna Strigenz, and I am a senior at the University of Washington Bothell. This upcoming spring 2019, I will be graduating from UW Bothell with my Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies degree. In addition, I have also gained some health-related volunteer and work experience over the past few years, including volunteering at Overlake Medical Center, earning my certified nursing assistant (CNA) license, and working as a certified nursing assistant at an assistant living and memory care facility. Currently, I am volunteering at a local hospital in the MRI department to gain some experience in the radiology field. Beginning in mid-January, I am excited to begin volunteering at Blood Works Northwest as a Donor Monitor helping at several different mobile drives in the local area. The Health Studies program and my previous work experiences has helped me develop a passion for serving those in need, assisting individuals of all ages and backgrounds, being part of a healthcare team, and learning more about the different types of health careers, including radiologic technology and other medical imaging modalities.

Although I have a desire to serve and assist others in a variety of health settings, my long term career goal is to become a licensed radiologic technologist. The radiology field excites me because of the opportunity to work in various health centers and departments, collaborate with other health professionals, use equipment, and complete x-ray examinations. I have learned how radiologic technologists are not only essential in many areas of the hospital, but physicians also depend on radiologic technologists for precise imaging that they can use. I am eager to enter the radiologic technology field in the future, and also to continue exploring other careers within medical imaging as well, such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and many other modalities.
