Mr. Jack Drummond is a qualified and knowledgeable teaching artist from the Philadelphia community who is committed to helping people achieve an appreciation for the arts and performance skills through ongoing consistent instruction and involvement. Mr. Drummond is an accomplished musician (violinist). He is a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for the Creative & Performing Arts. He is the founding member and Directing Manager of Collage Of Talent, LLC. Jack is a member of the Stroke String Ensemble, a string trio established in 2012.
Leonard McCants Jr is a composer, pianist, singer, and arranger. He started music at age five studying Piano at Settlement Music School, Philadelphia. He graduated from Girard Academic Music Program where he excelled very rapidly in music and in school. He is currently the Director of the Music at the Metropolitan AME church, in Philadelphia PA. McCants has written hundreds of his own Concerto’s and Continuo’s for various solo instruments. McCants insists that his music sounds like he “wants it to sound.” Loenard is a member of the Stroke String Ensemble, a string trio established in 2012. He also teaches piano and string lessons and plans to further his education in music composition, education, performance, and transportation engineering at Temple University, Philadelphia.
Tauhida Smith is a woman who was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. At 7 years of age, Tauhida developed an interest in the violin. She studied the violin at Temple University’s Ester Boyer College of Music while attending the Girard Academic Music Program (GAMP) in Philadelphia, PA from grades 5-12. During her high school career, Tauhida played with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, participated in the All-Philadelphia High School Orchestra where she was the Principal of the Second Violin section, sang in the All-Philadelphia High School Choir for two years, and served as the Concert Mistress of her school orchestra and chamber string orchestra. Currently, Tauhida is a member of the Stroke String Ensemble, a string trio established in 2012. Tauhida, 27 has recently earned a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Wilmington University. She has attained a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
