Jacques Stroud
My name is Jacques Stroud, former Emergency Medical Technician and Certified Nurse Assistant. I take care of an individual with crippling Cerebal Palsy. It's frustrating to schedule a doctor's appointment, and actually get him to the doctor's office for a 15 min evaluation. Mine is one of a million stories of americans dealing with this problem. My company "Bambooshute" a telemedicine company is developing a remote "clinical" healthcare website and mobile app to help health conscious individuals see a doctor, but aren't capable because of time, location, or disability. The problem with telemedicine is an interface problem. We solve this by having a CNA or EMT gather basic bio information from our users, then upload it to the site. We then connect our users with doctors and other health professionals for advice, through video, via the internet. Also doctors can diagnose non-urgent cases and prescribe medication. The predicted market value for telemedicine is 1.9 billion through 2018 with a 50% annual growth rate. "Bambooshute" will utilize credit card payments for pay per click doctor visits as well as a subscription service.
