After a lifelong interest in the concept of sustainability, I had the chance to formally research the area of climate change in 2012 when I completed a masters thesis as part of my MBA program at UCT, entitled "The Response of South African Business to Climate Change". The thesis explored the underlying systemic reasons for the lack of response from business evidenced to date.
This research has propelled me to take an ever-greater interest sustainability. While the scale of the problem seems immense and complex, the simplicity of many of the solutions give rise for hope and optimism.
Being involved in sustainability puts me in touch with the kind of people that makes life worth living!
