Stuart Goldberg
Stuart Goldberg of Irvington, New York, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) who, after 25 years as a CPA, opened a game store in downtown Irvington. Head2Head Toys and Games, which Goldberg opened in 2004, sells a broad range of traditional toys, sports memorabilia, and games that pit players against each other instead of against a computer. One of the games most strongly supported by H2H, as the shop is known by its regular customers, is Magic: The Gathering. Goldberg has established a Facebook page for H2H which lists weekly “Friday Night Magic” events at the shop every week. Educated at St. John’s University in Queens, New York, Stuart Goldberg received his Master of Business Administration in 1979; he qualified for his CPA license in 1986. Goldberg worked for several public accounting firms, such as Ernst & Ernst and Platt, Barth, Elson & Steinman, before joining the Tarrytown, New York, public accounting firm of Resnick & Newman LLP, where he ultimately became a partner. Stuart Goldberg participates actively in the life of his community. As an EMT, he rides with the Irvington Volunteer Ambulance Corps, which he has also served in a number of different leadership positions. Goldberg was among those members honored for helping to save the life of a police officer severely injured on the job in an incident in April 2010. A member of the Village’s Chamber of Commerce, Goldberg also contributes to the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department. The Irvington Recreation Department, the Rotary Club of Tarrytowns, New York, and the Greenburgh Hebrew Center in Dobbs Ferry, New York, also enjoy Stuart Goldberg’s ongoing support. Through Head2Head Toys and Games, Stuart Goldberg also supports local youth sports teams.
