A writer and publicist with extensive PR experience working on arts/culture/film events and festivals including the Raindance Film Festival, East End Film Festival, Ice Village Manchester, CASA Festival, the Venice Biennale film season From Venice To London, Fragments Festival, GFEST, Deptford X, East End Live, watchAUT Austrian FF, Pan Asia FF, Branchage Jersey FF, and the British Independent Film Awards. I've also worked in-house with several boutique PR companies, including London Flair PR (working on the Oscar® and BAFTA campaigns of a slate of short films during the 2022-2023 awards season, including "An Irish Goodbye" which ultimately won both an Oscar® and a BAFTA). Previously working with entertainment publicists The PR Contact (formerly Warren Cowan/Phil Symes Associates), whose clients included Diana Ross, Queen, Liza Minnelli and Jane Birkin, West End musicals We Will Rock You, Jailhouse Rock and Our House, and television shows such as Kath & Kim and Early Doors. As a writer, I’ve created a broad range of content for VisitBritain’s international media centre (including much of VB’s “Love Is GREAT” LGBTQ+ campaign). I’ve been a regular contributor to America’s #1 gay travel magazine Passport since it was founded in 2001. I was also deputy editor of British gay lifestyle monthly Fluid, and have contributed to other LGBTQ+ publications including Attitude, Instinct, Out In The City, and Metro Weekly. A regular contributor to health and sex magazine FS, published by British HIV/AIDS charity GMFA, I was nominated for the Rosemary Goodchild Award for excellence in sexual health journalism at Brook’s SHUK Awards in 2014.
