Stuart Watson

Stuart Watson was adopted by two loving parents, grew up in Albany, Georgia, dropped out twice but graduated (finally) from Vanderbilt University, married his lifelong love Lorraine, sobered up in Nashville, Tennessee, conceived and raised four good kids and no bad ones, made a host of great friends, won a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard, served on the board of Investigative Reporters and Editors, and tried to contribute to the American experiment in democracy as an investigative reporter in the South for more than 30 years. Frequently he failed. Every now and again he succeeded.
