Stuff That I Like

Welcome!

I don't have much to say, other than I enjoy discussing politics... a lot. I've decided to call myself a "pragmatic progressive." I'm quite liberal, although I deviate from the party line on some major issues. I'm okay with that.

My views would not be dissimilar from the Social Democrats of Europe. I embrace capitalism, regulated (not lightly, nor heavily, but "just right") and a fair economic playing field. I have heavy exposure to the world of economics, and have many opinions on the matter. Bring your A game here, or don't bother.

It would be fair to say I have "geek" tendencies, culturally as well as technologically. I also enjoy music, movies (getglue.com/stuffthatilike), TV (total TV junkie), comic books, gardening, and bashing stupid American conservatives. Proud to announce that extremists, liberal and conservative alike, have been blocking me. :)

I also am very fond of red wine. I am trying to quit smoking. I hate that I enjoy it sometimes.

I am sort of a "jack of all trades" in knowledge, and enjoy discussing all manner of topics. I occasionally may tweet in a language other than English. Finally, I've decided that if there is one true god to believe in, it should be Thor.

Don't get too close. I bite. Really. (Sorry, it's in my nature.) But, if you don't get too close, I can be a really good friend. It's just not easy. I have a tendency to slay people with facts. The truth hurts.
