Hey, I’m Subha Ranjan Das (I go by Das; he/him pronouns). I’m an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University living in Pittsburgh, PA. My lab works on the chemistry and biochemistry of modified Nucleic Acids (DNA and RNA) including their conjugates and hybrids with polymers.
Besides Science - both research and outreach/education, I enjoy food and drink (quite obsessively*), reading and catching up on recent Science Fiction and Fantasy - a genre I used to read a lot growing up. Besides food/drink, I derive pleasure from listening to all kinds of music and teaching and learning from my homeschooled kids and family these days. We love to travel when we're able.
