Today, I'm more on the business side of things, handling relations with number of satisfied clients and heading the development path of InspireSmart's latest project, iConnect - a revolutionary point of sale application for web & iPad platforms.

The origins of iConnect go back to a product called ConnectBeauty, which was developed and released in 2010. With ConnectBeauty, Subodh sought to fill a gap in the salon software market. The goal with ConnectBeauty was to create an application that would automate businesses using the world's latest, most advanced technology. As ConnectBeauty took off, however, it became apparent that there was a key ingredient missing in this recipe for success: simplicity.

Instead of pushing ConnectBeauty - a product whose learning curve many were struggling with - I opted to take the foundational ideas behind ConnectBeauty and mold them into a fresh, new, user-friendly application called iConnect. iConnect is founded on principles of simplicity and functionality, essentially making it an application that is simple on the outside, yet sophisticated on the inside. As an all-in-one solution, iConnect users receive an experience that empowers them to enjoy the features and flexibility of enterprise software, even if they are running small to medium sized businesses.

From the beginning, however, iConnect was not built entirely by software developers. It was only with the help of our customers that we were able to add the features that businesses need to grow and succeed. In a scene that might sound strange, the iConnect development team is in constant contact with registered users, who enable us to add helpful features and push updates that will make every version of iConnect better than the last. In the end, iConnect has become the perfect marriage between software engineering and the practical requests and needs of business owners and managers who run daily operations.

The future holds only greatness for iConnect.
