Passionate and results-oriented senior designer with over 9 years of expertise in both corporate and freelance settings. My expertise spans various domains, including logo & identity design, UI design, print, and social content creation. As a team player, I've collaborated with professionals such as business owners, managers, consultants, agencies, developers, and content writers to ensure designs are spot on. Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, I possess the technical acumen to bring creative visions to life. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege to collaborate on diverse projects across industries such as FMCG, hospitality, apparel, tech telecommunication (Dialog Axiata), fitness and health, and the sleep industry.

Despite obtaining my bachelor's degree in science in 2016, I achieved the honor of being the first recipient of the Best Creative Designer Award in 2015 from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, one of Sri Lanka's top three universities. This recognition, earned for my designs crafted during my academic years, ultimately inspired my career in design. As a self-taught graphic designer, driven by a strong desire to learn and excel, I embraced the opportunity to explore UI design while serving as the head of design at a tech startup. This transformative experience ignited a fresh passion, leading me to decisively pivot from graphic to UI design. I am also dedicated to enhancing my UX design skills, having completed the LinkedIn learning path on becoming a UX designer, and I am currently enrolled in the UI/UX Design Specialization at CalArts through Coursera. Additionally, I became a member of IxDF in 2022, following its UI Designer Career Path. My journey underscores the importance of motivation and rapid learning, propelling me to continually push boundaries and embrace new challenges in my pursuit of excellence.
