Sudesh Arora

Sudesh Arora obtained a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay – as one of 5% awarded a Merit Scholarship.

He obtained his MSEE from Carnegie Mellon and worked for Gulf Research and Development, where he authored design patents and developed a sulfur analyzer that won the IR-100 Award as one of the 100 most significant developments of the year, Gulf’s first IR-100 in more than 20 years.

Sudesh Arora founded NATEL in 1975. Through his expertise, NATEL became a leader in design, development and manufacturing of complex electronic, microelectronic and synchro conversion products. He led NATEL through several synergistic acquisitions and outsourcing contracts that moved the company into new products and packaging technologies. He received the US Small Business Administration’s Regional Subcontractor of the Year Award in 2003.

In 2007, Sudesh Arora spearheaded the acquisition of Raytheon's SSM group located in El Segundo, California, supplying Tactical Radar and Electronic Warfare products to Raytheon SAS. NATEL and Raytheon entered into a long term supplier agreement with SAS divesting a non-core product and NATEL strengthening its position as a RF/Microwave manufacturer.

In 2009, Sudesh K Arora gave rent-free space to the Jennifer Diamond Cancer Foundation for a 15,000-sq-ft facility offering support groups and programs for cancer patients and their families. He serves on the Pratham USA’s National Board of Directors, and as a part of this involvement, has led the construction of vocational training centers in Aurangabad, Latur, Bapatla, Bhopal, Ralegaon, and Pilani, known collectively as the Pratham Arora Center for Education (PACE). He also has supported Developments in Literacy (DIL) to build the Mandianwala School in Pakistan.

In 2013, Sudesh Arora led NATEL’s largest acquisition, creating a world-class EMS company with 1500+ employees.
