I was taught to knit by my dad when I was 8 - as my mum was left-handed. I knitted for myself as a young woman; for our children as a young mother; for other people's babies when our children were grown; and now I enjoy hand knitting for our grandchildren. I get excited about unusual yarn colours and buttons - buying a pattern for a hand knitted garment based on who it would be for, what it would look like and enjoying seeing it take shape. I have always got something on my needles - and get excited about my next project, whether it is a hand knit baby item or writing/designing my own knitting patterns. Knitting and crochet to me is not so much a labour of love and every stitch is made with love.
I started producing my knitting patterns because of my love of knitting. I have tried to make these as quick and easy knits and would appreciate any comments on how you found working from these patterns.
