Susan Lampe-Wilson

I consider myself an imaginative craftsman. As a child, I loved learning and immersing myself in different artistic endeavors. As I grew, my media choices changed. I studied various craft techniques including acrylic painting, collage, rug hooking, fabric dyeing, jewelry design and photography. In college I majored in Graphic Design and pursued a career in publishing. I’ve been a successful freelance graphic artist for over 2 decades.

New England’s landscape has always inspired me. My recent move to Vermont has renewed an enthusiasm and appreciation of photography. I consider every photograph a learning opportunity. I bring my camera along with me, in hopes that I will come upon that unique random moment to capture. When I look for shots, I do so with and eye for color and composition.

A Rockingham Vermont resident, I reside with my husband and 2 cats in a small cottage in the woods. Member of the Jelly Bean Artist Cooportative, Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild and The Society of Vermont Artists and Craftsman. I am certified as an instructor in the Oxford-method of punch needle rug hooking.

My work is currently on view and available for purchase at Mystery on Main Street bookshop in Brattleboro, Vt., and The Jelly Bean Tree, Vermont’s Oldest Artist Collective, in Saxtons River, Vt.
