Sueli Costa is the head designer of Opera Swimwear and her responsibilities with the organization include colors, fabrics, and styles trends research, making sketch designs, and directing the final production of each product line. She also regularly attends trade shows and industry seminars to stay at the forefront of modern clothing designs. The Opera brands are distinguished by elements of sophistication, beauty, and Brazilian sensuality. Skilled artisans in Brazil contribute delicate touches through hand embroidery work, hand painting, and beading. In the past 13 years, many leading publications have showcased swimwear created by Sueli Costa and Gabriela Pires. Since 2001, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition has consistently featured a model wearing a swimsuit by Opera, and in 2012 it will not be different. Other notable publications that have included Opera Swimwear are: Cosmopolitan, Vogue, FHM, Maxim, City & Shore, the WWE Magazine Diva Focus section, and Lucky, among many others. Highly regarded for her work in the fashion industry, Ms. Costa previously helped to design a piece for Swarovski Kristallwelten (Crystal World) in Wattens, Austria.
