Susan Shier writes about the inner world most people are living in but rarely name.

For more than thirty years she worked alongside high-level executives, helping them organize their work, their priorities, and the constant stream of decisions that come with leadership. Over time she began to notice something deeper.

Strategy wasn’t the real problem.

The real problem was internal.

Brilliant people were still reacting from old patterns. Overworking to prove themselves. Pushing through exhaustion. Trying to fix external systems while the internal wiring running their lives had never been examined.

That realization changed the direction of her work.

Today Susan helps people understand the patterns that quietly shape their behavior, decisions, and relationships. She writes about emotional awareness, internal steadiness, and the process of dismantling outdated instructions many of us have been living by for decades.

Her work draws from lived experience as much as professional observation. After navigating thirty years of high-functioning depression and a decade of deep personal healing, Susan became fascinated with how people rebuild themselves from the inside out.

That exploration led to the development of The Inner Architecture™, a framework that helps people reset old patterns, align with their internal truth, and embody the version of themselves they’ve been growing toward all along.

She is the author of The Inner Reset™, The Red Arc: Reacting on Autopilot, and The Orange Arc: Noticing the Pattern, part of her larger Rainbow of Self-Awareness series. Through Substack, digital tools, and her growing body of writing, Susan helps readers see their own patterns more clearly and build lives that feel steadier, simpler, and more honest.

She lives in rural Missouri with her husband and their two English mastiffs, where much of her writing begins at the kitchen table.

Susan writes for people who want to understand themselves more clearly and live from that understanding.
