Sukriti Kaur

Hi, I’m Sukriti. I am a student at University of Washington and I’m currently finishing my Bachelors in Health Studies. My current goal is to work in healthcare administrative work. I want to gain a few years of experience of the health administrative side and then shift my focus into nursing. I have received my associates in pre-nursing and my certified nursing assistant (CNA) license as well. I’ve had over a year’s worth of experience dealing with patients in a hospital setting as a Health Scholar. Some of my duties as a Health Scholar were: taking vitals of patients, assisting CNAS/nurses with patients, feeding, bathing, assisting with mobility, etc. I’ve also gained a year’s worth of experience working as a CNA with in-home clients. After working with patients on individual level, I decided I wanted to understand the healthcare system a bit more from the administrative perspective. I gained lots of knowledge from my courses at UW and hope to obtain more out in the real world as well.

I’m currently working as a bank teller and I enjoy my job because it has allowed me to gain customer experience and learn new skills that specifically related to health. Aside from being a full-time working student, I’m a human being who enjoys binge watching tv shows and going out to eat! I enjoy spending time with my friends and family as well as doing outdoor activities such as, hiking and running. I enjoy meeting new people and learning something new everyday.
