Summer Handzlik

I am a proud Medaille graduate. I earned my bachelor's degree in communication in 2008 and am currently pursing a master's in business administration (only three months left).

I am an aspiring leader who enjoys working with people and using each person's strength to propel forward and achieve success.

After graduating in may 2008 I began working at Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel as the marketing assistant, where I developed content for firm publications, managed the company's website, wrote content for print and online and coordinated the firm's participation in community organizations.

I joined the College Relations Office at Medaille in 2009 and currently serve as coordinator of alumni, student and parent relations. I feel at home in this position and thoroughly enjoy engaging students and alumni with the institution that I am so proud of.

While a student at Medaille, I served as editor-in-chief of the Perspective student newspaper and Incite magazine, and earned a first-place award in feature writing by the New York Press Association.

I am a mother, wife, daughter, friend and sister. I am a leader. I am proud Buffalonian who loves the snow. I enjoy reading, walking and scrapbooking. I'm obssessed with watches and the color pink. Follow me on Twitter @SummerHandzlik
