Summer Horvath
CBS Radio in Las Vegas, Nevada
My leadership excels beyond the normal student. I have taken many leadership courses and take any opportunity to be in that role. I love to be involved, and work with a diverse group of people. I put 110% in everything I do. My work ethic, use of resources, and creativity are unique and beat out the rest. I am eager to learn and willing to grow.
My experience is as follows:
I am a graduate from UNLV with a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality management. In high school, I attended Southwest Career and Technical Academy. My major for four years was Hospitality. I have eight years of education in Hospitality and Events Management.
At the moment, I work at Entercom Communications formerly known as CBS Radio as a street teamer. I work all radio events. Our stations at CBS include: 98.5 KLUC, MIX 94.1, X 107.5, and Q 100.5. At these events; I talk to listeners, pass out giveaways, and communicate with our client. I also get to host meet and greets with celebrities and do commercials that will go On-Air.
Just recently, I interned with Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits. I completed a four department rotational internship. I was able to understand the logistics of Will Call (including Inventory Control and Distribution), Special Events, Beverage Education, and Sales. It was a lot of hands on experience and exposure into the beverage distribution field.
I also have worked at an event planning company called Activity Planners. I was involved with vendor research for proposals and enhancing the vendor database including being a client file developer for two to five clients a day and preparing contracts for new clients.
In the summer of 2015, I interned with Recycled Percussion. They are a rock band that has a million dollar show on the Strip. I helped open their new show at Planet Hollywood with also working at their non profit called Legacy X.
I also interned with Andy Grammar who is a pop star with international reocrds and travels the world. I learned about the touring industry hands on.
I interned with Cirque Du Soleil for 6 months for their 5k Run that had about 1300 attendees as well.
Some programs I excel in are: Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint, Caterease, Adobe, Sound Forge, and Acid.
